Uninstalling the Windows printer driver
- To perform this procedure, you will have to login to the PC as a user with administrator privileges.
- Restart the PC before uninstalling the printer driver.
Open the "Devices and Printers".
- Right-click on the icon of the printer to be deleted, and select [Remove device].
When a confirmation message is displayed, click [Yes].
- If a message indicating that the device is being used is displayed, restart the PC and repeat Steps 1 and 2.
- Select one of the icons in [Printers], and click [Print server properties] in the menu bar.
- Select the [Drivers] tab.
- Click [Change Driver Settings] if displayed.
- Select the driver to be deleted, and click [Remove].
- When a message asking whether to delete the printer driver only or the printer driver and package from the system, select [Remove driver and driver package], and click [OK].
- When a confirmation message is displayed, click [Yes].
When the [Remove Driver Package] screen is displayed, click [Delete] - [OK].
- If deletion is rejected, restart the PC and repeat Steps 4 to 10.
- Click [Close] in the [Print Server Properties] screen.
- Restart the PC.
