Using IPP

Add this machine as an IPP printer in a PC.


For Windows
  1. Open the "Devices and Printers", and select [Add Printer].

  2. In the [Add Printer] wizard, select [Add a Network, Wireless, or Bluetooth Printer].
  3. Select [The printer that I want isn't listed] from the list of usable printers.
  4. Select [Select a shared printer by name].
  5. Input "http://(IP address of this machine)/ipp" or "http://(IP address of this machine)/ipp/lp", and click [Next].
  6. Click [Have Disk].
  7. Insert the included DVD to the PC.
    If your PC does not come with a DVD drive, double-click on the driver software file downloaded from the website to unzip it.
  8. Input the following values in [Copy manufacturer's files from], and click [Ref].
    For installing the PCL printer driver: "D:\Drivers\_PCL"
    For installing the PS printer driver: "D:\Drivers\_PS"

    • The above values are examples when the DVD drive is set to the D drive.
    • If your PC does not come with a DVD drive, specify the folder unzipped in Step 7.
  9. Select the INF file, and click [OPEN].
  10. Click [OK].
  11. Select a model, and click [OK].
  12. Click [Next].
  13. Click [Completed].
  14. When the installation has completed, print a test page.


For macOS
  1. Insert the included DVD to the PC, and install the driver.

  2. Select [System Preferences] from the Apple menu.
  3. Click [Printers & Scanners].
  4. Click [+].
  5. Click the [IP] tab.
  6. Select [IPP (Internet Printing Protocol)] in [Protocol].
  7. Input the IP address of this machine in [Address].
  8. Input "ipp" in [Cue].
  9. Click [Add].
  10. Click [Continue].
  11. Check if this machine has been registered in [Printers & Scanners].
