Installing the Wired LAN module

Install it if you want to connect this machine to two different networks with a wired LAN. After installation, you need to enable the Wired LAN module on the operator panel.

This section describes the procedure for installing the Wired LAN module and enabling the Wired LAN module on the operator panel.

  • LAN1 engraved on the LAN port refers to a standard wired LAN, and LAN2 refers to an extended wired LAN.
  • It cannot be used together with the Wireless LAN module at the same time.

  1. Turn off the power supply of this machine, and disconnect the power cord.

    • If you install it with the power supply turned on, the main unit or Wired LAN module may be damaged.

  2. Loosen the screw on the Wired LAN module cover on the back of this machine, and remove the cover.

    • Keep the Wired LAN module cover and screws properly instead of discarding them.

  3. Insert the Wired LAN module into the Wired LAN module port and fix it with screws.

  4. Attach the power cable to this machine and one end of the LAN cable to the Wired LAN module (LAN2).

  5. Plug the other end of the LAN cable into the hub.

  6. Power on this machine.

  7. Press the scroll button ▼ on the operator panel several times to select [Admin Setup], and press «OK».

  8. Press ▲ or ▼ to input the admin password, and press «OK».

  9. Check that [Network Setup] is selected, and press «OK».

  10. Check that [General Setup] is selected, and press «OK».

  11. Check that [Extended Network] is selected, and press «OK».

  12. Press ▼ to select [Wired(LAN2)], and press «OK».

  13. When [Are You Sure?] is displayed, check that [Yes] is selected, and press «OK».

  14. The machine will restart, so wait until the standby screen appears.

  15. Press ▼ several times to select [Admin Setup], and press «OK».

  16. Press ▲ or ▼ to input the admin password, and press «OK».

  17. Check that [Network Setup] is selected, and press «OK».

  18. Press ▼ several times to select [Wired(LAN2) Setup], and press «OK».

  19. Check that [Wired(LAN2)] is selected, and press «OK».

  20. Check that [Enable] is selected, and press «OK».

Next, set network information like the IP address on this machine.
