Printing on long paper
You can print on long paper using the Multi Purpose Tray (MP Tray).
Set the size of the long paper to the custom size of the MP tray on the control panel. Before printing, register the media size and media weight in the printer driver.
The media size that can be registered ranges from 55 mm to 297mm in width and from 127mm to 1,321 mm in length.
Setting the paper size before loading paper
- Set the X and Y dimensions, media type, and media weight of long paper to the custom size of the MP tray on the control panel.
Refer to "Setting the paper size before loading paper" of "Printing on irregular-sized paper (custom size)" for the detailed procedure.
Printing from a PC

- If you are using B822, refer to the PCL printer driver section.
For Windows PCL printer driver
- Open the file to be printed.
- Select [Print] from the [File] menu.
- Click [Preferences].
Select [User Defined Size] from [Size] in the [Setup] tab.

- If the set media size is 210.0 x 900.0 mm, 215.0 x 900.0 mm, or 215.0 x 1,200.0 mm, 297.0 x 900.0 mm, or 297.0 x 1,200.0 mm, you can select the media size from [Banner *** x *** mm].
Please refer to "Printing on irregular-sized paper (custom size)" for how to set an irregular size.
- If the set media size is 210.0 x 900.0 mm, 215.0 x 900.0 mm, or 215.0 x 1,200.0 mm, 297.0 x 900.0 mm, or 297.0 x 1,200.0 mm, you can select the media size from [Banner *** x *** mm].
- Select [Multi Purpose Tray] in [Source].
- Specify the media weight and other settings as necessary, and click [OK].
- Click [Print] in the [Print] screen.
For the Windows PS printer driver
- Open the file to be printed.
- Select [Print] from the [File] menu.
- Click [Preferences].
- Click [Advanced] in the [Layout] tab, select [PostScript Custom Page Size] from [Paper Size], and input values in [Width] and [Height].
To change the size, press [Edit Custom Page Size], and input values in [Width] and [Height]. - Click [OK].
- Select [Multi Purpose Tray] from [Paper Source] on the [Paper/Quality] tab.
- Specify the media weight and other settings as necessary, and click [OK].
- Click [Print] in the [Print] screen.
For macOS PCL printer driver
- Open the file to be printed.
- Select [Print] from the [File] menu.
- Select [Manage Custom Sizes] from [Paper Size].
- Click [+] to add an item to the list of media size.
- Double-click on [Untitled], and input a name for the long media size.
- Select a printer from [Non-Printable Area].
- Input values in [Width] and [Height].
- Click [OK].
- Select a registered paper size from [Paper Size].
- Select [Multi Purpose Tray] from [Paper Source] on the [Setup] panel.
- Specify the media weight and other settings as necessary, and click [Print].

- If there is no detail settings displayed in the [Print] screen, click [Show Details] at the bottom of the screen.
For the macOS PS printer driver
- Open the file to be printed.
- Select [Print] from the [File] menu.
- Select [Manage Custom Sizes] from [Paper Size].
- Click [+] to add an item to the list of media size.
- Double-click on [Untitled], and input a name for the long media size.
- Select a printer from [Non-Printable Area].
- Input values in [Width] and [Height].
- Click [OK].
- Select a registered paper size from [Paper Size].
- Select [Multi-Purpose Tray] from [All Pages From] on the [Paper Feed] panel.
- Specify the media weight and other settings as necessary, and click [Print].

- If there is no detail settings displayed in the [Print] screen, click [Show Details] at the bottom of the screen.
