Boot Menu

  1. Open the output tray by holding its center.
  2. Press and hold «OK» on the operator panel to power on the machine. When [Boot Menu] appears on the display, release your finger and then press «OK» again.

  3. Press the scroll button ▲ or ▼ to input the admin password, and then press «OK».

Menu Lockout

OffWhen [On] is set, the Admin Setup and user menu list are hidden and thus unavailable. However, only printing settings are displayed.

Panel Lockout

OffDisables buttons on the operator panel.
[Mode1]: Enables «OK», «CANCEL», «HELP», and «BACK»; disables ▲ and ▼.
[Mode2]: Disables all buttons except «OK», «HELP», and «BACK».
[Off]: All the buttons can be used.

After AC power supply fails

Always Off

Sets whether to restore the Ready To Print status automatically in case of a power failure.
Depending on the action mode of this machine, the machine may not start by force unless the AC cord is plugged after about 5 minutes since the AC cord is unplugged or the power supply is stopped due to a power failure.

[Always On]:
This machine is started by force when the power failure is recovered without pressing the power switch. This machine starts simply by connecting the power plug to the outlet.

[Always Off]:
This machine does not start when the power failure is recovered without pressing the power switch.
[Last State]:
This machine remembers the state when the power supply is interrupted and restarts with that state after the power failure is recovered. This machine automatically restores the Ready-to-Print state when the power failure is recovered even if the power supply is interrupted due to a power failure while the machine is working. If a power failure occurs when the power is off, this machine does not start even after the power failure is recovered.

Peak Power Control

Off

Set to [On] when the breaker is frequently shut off while the machine is working.

This mode suppresses the peak power consumption, and the total power consumption during printer operation is not reduced.

The first page output time and warm-up time will be longer.

The print speed may be slowed down.
Depending on the paper, the toner may come off easily (in that case, changing the paper setting to a thicker value may improve it).

[On]: Enables the peak power control mode
[Off]: Disables the mode.
