Leeds Beckett University’s School of Art & Design Unleashes its Creativity with OKI Printers
The School of Art & Design at Leeds Beckett University is always a hive of activity and its students rely heavily on its printers to bring creative projects to life. The school’s staff also depend on the printers for publications and handouts. Senior Learning Officer Tom Rodgers was tasked with choosing new printers that would be robust, reliable and durable, and provide the best possible print quality and colour. Additionally, it was crucial that the printers would inspire creativity, with as few limitations as possible. OKI’s partner Sharples Group recommended eight innovative OKI A3 professional graphics printers providing 4 and 5 colour printing, CMYK, white, gloss and white under CMYK. The printers needed to be compact enough so they could be placed on trolleys, enabling them to be easily moved around the campus. The OKI printers now support the high output volumes required and have become vital tools for the school’s artists; enabling more accurate reproduction with OKI’s pioneering Digital LED technology on a wide variety of different media, including textured materials and paper up to 360gsm.
“OKI printers are easy to use and the quality of output is outstanding, enabling us to really push the boundaries of creativity.” - Tom Rodgers, Senior Learning Officer, Leeds Beckett University
