Akio Kotake takes over dual-role from Masahiko Tsuda to lead OKI’s companies in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong
OKI has announced that Akio Kotake has been appointed as its new President of OKI Systems (Thailand) Ltd. and Managing Director of OKI Data (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. His predecessor, Masahiko Tsuda, who led both companies through transformations in business product focus amongst several notable accomplishments, will return to Japan after four years here in Southeast Asia.
Previously based in Japan, Kotake was responsible for overseeing OKI’s printer business in Asia and Oceania. Before that, he worked overseas for a total of 14 years, whereby he held roles in the USA (Marketing Manager for the Industry market), Taiwan (President), again USA (VP for Latin America), Mexico (President), and China (President). Kotake thus brings with him a wealth of experience that would benefit OKI stakeholders within this region.
“I am very excited at this fresh opportunity to lead OKI’s business in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong. Mr. Tsuda has successfully steered our business through major changes in the product lines. And I am confident that we will remain an industry leader thanks to our first-class office and industry products. I now look forward to growing our region’s business in this fast-changing digital environment,” said Kotake.
