About OKI Data Singapore
OKI was first established in Singapore in 1981. Eight years later in November 1989, Oki Electronics (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. - fully owned by Oki Electric Industry Co. Ltd., Japan - was established to support distributors in Singapore and Southeast Asian countries, for its Printer, Facsimile, PABX and Key Telephone System products.
On 13 January 1999, Oki Data (Singapore) Pte Ltd (otherwise referred to as ODSP) was incorporated in Singapore as a fully-owned subsidiary of Oki Data Corporation in Japan. ODSP started operations on 1 April 1999 after Oki Electronics (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. had transferred its Printer and Facsimile marketing and sales rights to ODSP at the end of March 1999. This business transition was a natural progression following OKI's global group strategy of pursuing further business expansion through a network of dealers and distributors throughout the country and into many parts of Asia.
Today, ODSP manages marketing and sales operations in a region that comprise OKI offices in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, operations in Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam, as well as manufacturing facilities in Thailand.
