SpanSet Lowers Printing Costs with OKI’s Smart Managed Services
SpanSet has relied on OKI’s printing services at its headquarters for 12 years but with a mix of solutions and products across its 26 branches across Germany and its several offices worldwide, the company needed harmonisation in its print infrastructure. This had the potential to be quite a challenge for its small IT team of five. The IT team approached local OKI partner Bürotechnik Kamps to recommend the best solution. The attractive flat-rate leasing concept of OKI’s solution stood out to SpanSet’s IT team. The OKI Smart Managed Print Services (MSP) solution includes multifunction printers (MFPs) and PrintSuperVision software to track and control print costs and consumption levels with monthly reports on usage for each department and potential savings highlighted. The reporting can specifically drill down to how much ink and toner is used by each specific member of staff. The A3 MFPs have enabled fast in-house printing of marketing materials at a low cost. There is now potential for SpanSet to benefit from integration with SENDYS Explorer workflow software and RFID technology for increased print security.
