Pulling off the perfect post-lockdown wedding
Many couples will have had to postpone their big day due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but as lockdown measures are gradually lifted globally, the wedding sector is likely to become very busy. As weddings begin to take place again, couples will be keen to quickly communicate their change in plans, potentially redoing their wedding stationery with new dates and venue information and communicating safety guidelines guests will need to adhere to.
Venues and wedding planners will be looking to rebuild customer confidence and make the big day extra special, while seeking opportunities to make up for revenues lost during lockdown.
But as we all adjust to a new way of life with ongoing restrictions and changing government guidelines, wedding venues and planners will need to ensure staff and guests are kept safe. This could include the requirement to practice social distancing, a limitation on the number of people allowed in venues at any one time and could even include the requirement for staff and guests to wear facemasks.
Making sure that a couple’s big day goes smoothly is a major concern for wedding businesses, but in the post-lockdown world, they will also have to consider how weddings operate safely, responsibly and profitably while keeping couples happy. Wedding collateral and signage will be critical to achieving this.
