Social issues such as labor shortage due to low birthrate and aging population and increase in medical expenses are becoming serious. OKI, on the other hand, will utilize its strengths in sensing and the technology to connect and analyze the data collected there, and work toward DX. By collecting and analyzing multispecies and multigroup data in real time and sharing them remotely, we provide personalized healthcare and medical support services that can be received anytime, anywhere, and realize the well-being of society.
We will also use the above technologies and solutions to expand into global businesses.
Our entry into the business is divided into the following three phases by OKI's technology and co-creation with partner companies.
The goal of OKI's behavior modification solution is to create a society in which even those who are indifferent to their health become healthy when they realize it.
To achieve this, we need a system that can design healthy behaviors and lifestyle habits and systemize them. There are many factors involved in health, but OKI focuses on "exercise," "sleep,"" and "communication." OKI has been researching behavior modification technology based on behavioral science and behavioral economics for many years. In recent years, we have been focusing on developing a "behavior modification engine" that outputs messages tailored to each user by combining the knowledge of experts with personal attributes, behavioral data and vital data obtained in daily life. We conduct research every day with the aim of being close to people's lives and helping them changeing their behavior for the better without any effort or effort.
School teachers want to reduce the risk of heat stroke and other physical ailments among their students during physical education classes. In addition, school teachers want to give each student an optimal physical education class.
Physical Education ICT is a system to answer these needs. In PE classes using the PE ICT system, students participating in PE classes are asked to wear wear wearable devices. In this way, the school teacher can check the students' exercise and physical condition data in real time during the physical education class.
Physical education ICT quantifies physical condition information of students during exercise. School teachers running physical education classes can use the numerical physical condition information to provide optimal classes for each student.
Physical Education ICT discloses information on students' physical condition in real time to the teachers running the classes. This function allows them to identify signs that students may be falling ill and take countermeasures. As a result, the risk of students falling ill during physical education classes can be reduced.
Furthermore, students can use the physical condition data collected by the system to reflect on their own physical condition during exercise. In other words, students can learn to "think" through physical education classes. In addition, teachers can use the data to evaluate the students' efforts.
One of the challenges facing the Japanese government is to increase the healthy life expectancy of the population. To this end, it is necessary to develop an exercise habit among the population. In addition, the goal of Japan's physical education curriculum is to help students develop the habit of enjoying physical activity throughout their lives.
In order to achieve these goals, Japanese physical education classes are changing from "classes in which students simply move their bodies" to "classes in which students become familiar with exercise by confronting and thinking about the physical changes caused by exercise. Our physical education ICT system will contribute to the realization of such new physical education classes. Furthermore, we are confident that the widespread use of our system will encourage people to get into the habit of exercising, thereby extending the healthy life expectancy of the nation.
We will develop various solution edge devices based on our proprietary technologies and medical evidence, such as behavior modification and physical education ICT, in each area. Furthermore, by using OKI's edge platform technology to collect, store, analyze, and remotely share data on each edge device, we will improve the added value of each solution, create new healthcare and medical support services, and contribute to solving further social issues.
