OKI Launches IMS Support Service That Draws on ISO 56001 Certification Track Record

Providing comprehensive support for corporate culture reforms and innovation human resource development

TOKYO, September 25, 2025 -- OKI (TOKYO: 6703) has launched the IMS Support Service in September 2025 to help companies rapidly build innovation promotion structures, drawing on its track record gained through ISO 56001 (*1) certification for the Innovation Management System ("IMS"). This service will help companies quickly and efficiently build innovation promotion structures tailored to their corporate culture and business characteristics. It will also provide optimal support in the four aspects required by ISO 56001: leadership by top management, practical support, human resource development, and management (planning, evaluation, and improvement).

In recent years, social issues have become increasingly complex and customer needs have become increasingly indistinct, making the creation of new businesses essential and placing increasing pressure on many companies to promote innovation activities. Furthermore, with the establishment of ISO 56001 in September 2024 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), IMS adoption is expected to become a key issue in corporate management strategies.

OKI launched its Yume Pro (*2) IMS in collaboration with the Japan Innovation Network ("JIN," head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Noboru Konno). Under top management leadership, the implementation was subsequently expanded groupwide, and in July 2025, OKI became the first company in Japan to acquire BSI Kitemark™ certification based on ISO 56001 from the British Standards Institution (BSI). The IMS Support Service systematizes OKI's track record and provides consulting, education, and practical support to meet the challenges and needs of companies and organizations aiming to acquire ISO 56001 certification or promote innovation activities. For example, in order to help acquire the skills for innovation thinking and generating ideas, it offers basic and practical innovation training to systematically learn how to build concepts based on IMS/design thinking. In addition to the training, it also provides practical support and co-creation support (co-creation workshops) to help bring the seeds of new businesses to fruition through co-creation activities undertaken with customers. Moreover, it provides comprehensive collaborative programs that combine JIN's expertise in IMS and strategic direction setting with OKI's practical capabilities.

As we move toward our 150th anniversary in 2031, we will also contribute to the growth of both existing and new businesses and to the promotion of global expansion through innovation activities in which everyone plays key value creation roles."
