Realize Remote Monitoring of Infrastructure and Disaster Site with Easy Installation.

The Zero-Energy IoT Series developed by OKI is an infrastructure monitoring system consisting of sensors and cameras. It requires no power supply or wiring, therefore it is easy to install. Using various sensors, it can measure the inclination and natural frequencies of infrastructures or water levels of rivers. It can also be equipped with a high-sensitivity camera to capture clear images of a site day or night. Infrastructure administrators can view sensed data and captured images via the cloud service by remote computer or smartphone.

Features

Zero Energy Gateway

  • This is an IoT gateway that does not require an external of power source due to solar power operation, and does not require communication wiring as it is compatible with LTE.
  • Each type of Zero Energy Gateway and the wireless acceleration sensors, equipped with LTE communication modules, can transmit data wirelessly, enabling monitoring over a wide area. This makes it possible to efficiently monitor the maintenance of infrastructure such as bridges which are difficult to install, and social infrastructure facilities like rivers.

Wireless Acceleration Sensor Unit

  • The wireless acceleration sensor unit, which incorporates a 3-axis accelerometer, achieves long-term battery operation through advanced sleep control. It can be installed without the need for wiring work, significantly reducing installation costs.
  • By incorporating an LTE communication module and wirelessly transmitting data to the cloud, it becomes possible to visualize data and send email notifications in the event of anomalies. This allows infrastructure managers to improve and streamline maintenance operations.
