Seeking for collaboration partners to bring about innovation in medical care

Future medical care and SDGs that OKI aims to achieve
The number of "vigorous elderly people" who can actively work through their lives will be increased through provision of new products and services that support those "vigorous elderly people".
That's the future OKI aims at achieving.
To realize such future of medical care, we at OKI will take on a challenge to find measures to reduce the juvenile mortality rate for cause of noninfectious diseases by one third by 2030.
As one of approaches to realize it, we will focus our efforts on "presymptomatic state, prevention and early detection" of diseases.
OKI's activities for innovation conform with the goals of solving social issues set in the SDGs.

Values we aim to provide to customers with Collaboration partners
We will create a living lab through collaboration with partners who have strength in analysis of walk, sleep and diet to realize "early detection" and "promotion of action" and collaboration with relevant partners to "link families/communities".
Early detection
Discovering anything unusual in walk, sleep and eat in daily life and raising awareness of the person him/herself.Promotion of action
Recommending high quality and well-balanced "walk", "sleep" and "eat" to realize presymptomatic state/prevention of diseases.Linking families/communities
To enable healthy and comfortable life for people, strengthening the cooperation with their families and local communities.
Distinctive activities of OKI
OKI provides a mechanism to give incentives to a user so as to be motivated when the user makes a positive action to promote or maintain his or her health.
For example, a mechanism in which when a user putting on a pair of shoes with a built-in sensor walks in the right way, the user will receive service points or feedback, which will induce users to change their behavior.

Basic concept of innovation at OKI
OKI has a reason to tackle these challenges. It is because we believe that innovation means shifting user's experience of "present state with some problem" to a "targeted future".
We think that preparing incentives for users and providing a mechanism to prompt users to change their behaviors to achieve their goals will accelerate the innovation.

Future of super-aging society envisioned by OKI
OKI will contribute to reduction of the juvenile mortality rate for cause of noninfectious diseases by one third as a goal set in SDGs 3.4 by taking the lead in addressing the issues of the super-aging society that Japan is facing.
We are recruiting Collaboration partners to work with to open up the future of medical care.
