Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. makes the announcement below following a meeting of its board of directors on Tuesday 23 May 2006 at which it was resolved to issue unsecured convertible-bond-type-bonds with stock acquisition rights (tenkanshasaigata shinkabu yoyakuken-tsuki shasai) by way of third party allocation.
