Sets the time to switch from the power save mode to the sleep mode.

Sets the time to switch from the standby mode to the power off mode.

Silent Mode

Specifies a print preparation operation when entering standby status from Sleep mode.

[On]: It is quiet as there is no print preparation.

[Off]: There is a rotation noise of the image to perform print preparation but you can start first printing early.

Clearable Warning

Sets whether to recover the printer automatically when a memory overflow or tray requesting occurs.

Sets how long the network port is left opened after a job is complete.

This time can be set in the range 0 to 300 seconds in 5-second increments.

Low Toner

Sets whether to continue or stop printing when a low on toner error occurs.

Print Mode w/o Color Toner

Specifies the action when there is an empty color toner.

[Alarm]: The machine stops without printing the color print job. Replace the toner cartridge with a new one.

[Cancel]: Cancels a new color print job automatically. Replace the toner cartridge with a new one.

Jam Recovery

Sets whether the printer will attempt to re-print any pages lost due to a paper jam once the jam has been cleared.

When [Off] is set, print processing that included pages which generated a paper jam is canceled.

Error Report

Sets whether to print out the error details when an internal error occurs.

Hex Dump

Prints out the data received from the host computer in hexadecimal dump format.

Turning off the power switches the printer to the normal print mode from the HEX Dump mode.

Sets whether to perform drum rotating before printing to reduce lateral white lines on the print. Note that drum rotating shortens the ID life.

High Humid Mode

Paper sometimes curls if it is output when humidity is high. Curling is reduced by setting [Mode1] or [Mode2].

Mode1/Mode2:

Set this mode when you want to reduce the paper curling problems in [OFF] Mode.

If you are not satisfied with the result of [Mode 1], try [Mode 2].

[Effect: OFF < Mode 1 < Mode 2]

• This mode requires longer warm-up time than when the mode is OFF, and the time required for printing becomes longer.

[Print time: OFF < Mode 1 < Mode 2]

• [Mode 1] and [Mode 2] require changes of process and may reduce the life of image drums.

Moisture Control

Sets whether to enable the condensation control. When [Mode 1] or [Mode 2] is set, paper absorbs extra moisture at high humidity and prevent the top of the sheets from wetting. It may take longer time to complete printing the first page.

Narrow Paper Speed

Mode1

Sets the printing speed of narrow paper.

Mode 1:

This mode is recommended when you print on a large number of narrow sheets of paper (216 mm or narrower).

<Note>

The narrow paper printing change to low speed. (paper thickness: light paper to thick paper).

Mode 2:

This mode is recommended when you print a small number of narrow sheets of paper. This mode allows you to print on narrow sheets of paper at a normal speed.

<Note>

When printing on a large number of narrow sheets, the machine may often enter the standby mode to adjust the fixing temperature before shifting to the next sheet.

Mode 3:

This mode reduces the possibility of printing failure at the edge of the paper when printing on a wide sheet of paper after printing on a large number of narrow sheets of paper.

<Note>

The machine enters to the standby mode to adjust the fixing temperature when changing from narrow sheets to wide sheets.

The narrow paper printing change to low speed. (paper thickness: light paper to thick paper).

Ultra Light Paper Care Mode
