“Driving Innovation & Building For A Cause”
Irving, Texas, January 16, 2019 – OKI Data Americas, a world-class printing technology innovator and undisputed leader in delivering vibrant, durable vehicle wraps for the automotive restyling industry, reached the end of its nine-month journey with the SEMA Cares car build initiative that benefits Victory Junction, an 84-acre camp and SEMA Cares benefactor dedicated to enriching the lives of children with serious medical conditions.
The SEMA Cares car, a custom-built, custom-wrapped 2018 Camaro SS, hit the auction blocks on January 12, 2019 at Mecum Auctions in Kissimmee, Florida commanding a notable sale price of $65,000. All proceeds from the sales of this vehicle will be donated, in their entirety, to Victory Junction to further expand and enhance the youth camp experience that was first introduced in 2004.
“OKI is extremely appreciative and enormously grateful to have been a participant in, and principal financial contributor for, the 2018 SEMA Cares philanthropic endeavor,” said Lou Stricklin, Director of Marketing Communications. “Social responsibility and the general welfare of our community are values deeply steeped in the OKI culture. We are thrilled that the car auction was so successful and are excited that the donation will help fund the fun, activity-rich and life-changing experiences that Victory Junction has inspired for more than 15 years.”
The SEMA Cares custom-car build transpired over many months at Petty’s Garage in Randleman, North Carolina and officially debuted as a display car at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas in November 2018. The following companies were intimately involved and graciously donated their time, expertise, products and equipment:
Wastegate Technologies, Inc.
