Equipment Security

Many OKI products may include, or have available as an option, a separate hard drive or installable memory, to allow for data transfer and storage. Before transfering, recycling or discarding your printer or MFP, please review the instructions provided at the link below by selecting your product. Instructions are provided relative to these storage devices and indicate necessary steps to safeguard and/or properly destroy sensitive data that may be stored on them.

Rechargeable Batteries

IT IS ILLEGAL TO DISPOSE OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK AS SOLID WASTE. DISPOSING OF THE BATTERY AS SOLID WASTE IS BAD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. THE STATE OF NEW YORK HAS PASSED AN EXTENDED PRODUCER RESPONSIBILITY LAW THAT REQUIRES MANUFACTURERS, DISTRIBUTORS, OR RETAILERS TO COLLECT AND PROPERLY DISPOSE OF OR RECYCLE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES WITHOUT COST TO THE CUSTOMER.

Some of OKI's printers are powered by a lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack. These batteries should exhibit an RBRC recycling logo either on an adhesive label or printed directly on the battery pack. The label (see example below) provides a toll-free number to help you locate battery drop-off locations in your area.
