Miura joined OKI in 1989 and spent the next 30 years working for the organisation in Japan including roles covering domestic sales, retail sales, global sales management, corporate planning, consumables and sales management. He has been an instrumental part of OKI Electric and OKI Data Corporation (printer division) and joined OKI Europe in 2018 as Vice President of Corporate Planning.
His main successes have been developing the retail business through market and partner development, mainly to support lager retailers in the Japanese domestic market. He also played a key role in the Ricoh OEM partnership in 2006 where OKI’s C800 Series had a significant impact on revenue and profit.
Miura is passionate about OKI and particularly the opportunity the business provides to staff to present ideas and initiatives in line with the strategy and direction of the business to management to gain buy in. He is a firm believer in Drucker’s leadership philosophy and believes the individual’s success is the organisation’s success. He says it’s important to achieve the objectives of the business while supporting staff goals and developing team members. He wants his teams to feel a sense of achievement and likes to involve himself in issues to ensure they are addressed.
Miura studied Law at KEIO University in Japan. He is a keen tennis player and an amateur golfer.
