If a Document is Invisible in the Paper Path

  1. Open the ADF cover (a).

  2. Remove the jammed document. Proceed to step 4 if you cannot remove the jammed document.

    Note

    Do not try to remove the document by force.

  3. If you were able to remove the document, proceed to step 8.

  4. Open the inner cover (b).

  5. If you can see the edge of the jammed document, pull it out gently.

  6. If the edge of document jammed under the document tray (c) can be seen, lift up the document tray and gently pull out the document to remove.

  7. If you were able to remove the document, close the inner cover.

  8. Close the ADF cover slowly.

    Remove the document on the document tray, and then close the ADF cover.

    Otherwise, documents may be torn or folded.

Memo

If an error occurs while copying, the copying gets canceled.
