Adjusting Color Balance (Density)

When you adjust the shade to suit your preferences, operate from the operator panel.

To specify, darken or lighten pale part (Highlight), middle tone part (Mid-tone), and dark part (Dark) of each color.

  1. Press the «Fn» key.

    • When a printer is in the power saving mode, press the «POWER SAVE» button to restore from the mode.

  2. Press the «3», «0» and «2» on the numeric keypad and then press the «ENTER» button.

  3. Make sure that [Execute] is selected and then press the «ENTER» button.

    Memo

    • On the color tuning pattern, 44 squares are printed. The present setting of the light, medium, and dark colors are indicated with dashed lines. You can check the color to be adjusted.

  4. Press the scroll button to select [Calibration] and then press the «ENTER» button.

  5. Press the scroll button to select [Cyan Tuning], [Magenta Tuning], [Yellow Tuning] or [Black Tuning], and then press the «ENTER» button.

  6. Press the scroll button to select [Highlight], [Mid-Tone] or [Dark], and then press the «ENTER» button.

  7. Press the or , select the value you want and then press the «ENTER» button.

  8. Press the «ON LINE» button to exit the menu mode.

  9. Start printing.

    Repeat the procedure until the color shade meets your preferences.
