You can print color documents in grayscale.
For Windows PCL Printer Driver
- 
          Open the file to print.
- 
          Select [Print] from the [File] menu.
- 
          Click [Preferences].
- 
          On the [Setup] tab, select [Monochrome].
- 
          Change other settings if necessary, and then click [OK].
- 
          Click [Print] on the [Print] screen.MemoSelecting [Monochrome] on the printer driver enables you to print a color document in grayscale even when the cyan, magenta, and yellow toners are empty. 
For Windows PS Printer Driver
- 
          Open the file to print.
- 
          Select [Print] from the [File] menu.
- 
          Click [Preferences].

          Select the [Color] tab and select [Grayscale].

          From the [File] menu, select [Print].

          Select [Color] from the panel menu.
