Toner Save

Mono-Print Mode

Auto

Sets the print mode for black-and-white pages.

There are two types of printing modes, Color Mode and Mono-Print Mode.

Color Mode uses CMYK image drums to print. Mono-Print Mode uses only K image drum to print.

[Auto]: If the first page is in black and white, it is printed in Mono-Print Mode. If a colored page appears, the machine automatically switches to Color Mode and prints all the rest in Color Mode.

[Color Mode]:Prints always in Color Mode.

[Normal Mode]: Prints black and white page in Mono-Print Mode and colored page in Color Mode.

Edit Size

Sets the size of the printable page area if the size is not specified with the paper edit size command from a computer.

Printer Adjust

Manual Timeout

Sets for how many seconds the machine waits for paper to be fed before cancelling a job when using the manual feeder.

Timeout Injob

Sets for how many seconds the machine waits until pages are output from when the processing of the received data stops.

Timeout Local

40 seconds

Sets how long each port is left opened after a job is complete. (The network is excluded.)

Timeout Network

90 seconds

Sets how long the network port is left opened after a job is complete.

Print Mode Without Color Toner

Alarm

Sets the behavior when the color toner runs out.

[Alarm] : The machine does not print color print job and stops.

Moisture Control

[Effect: Mode1 < Mode2]

Setting to [Mode1] or [Mode2] prolongs the warm-up time, compared with setting to [Off], and slows down the print speed.

Memo

[Mode1] that controls condensation, shortens the time to start printing when the Power Save mode transition setting is turned off or a longer transition time is selected. However, when the power is turned on, or printing starts after entering Power Save mode, the warm-up time is prolonged as is the case in [Mode2].
