Auckland, 30 May 2018 – OKI Data New Zealand, a global manufacturer of business printers, multi-function devices and wide format solutions, has announced the appointment of Bruce Koefoed as the company’s first ever New Zealand Country Manager.

Based in Auckland, Koefoed will be responsible for propelling market deployment of OKI solution offerings across New Zealand and managing a team of resellers for ongoing customer service and support.

Koefoed joins OKI with more than 20 years of sales, management and product marketing experience in the New Zealand IT market.  He was previously at Fuji Xerox New Zealand where he initially joined the company as General Manager for the company’s printer channel before being promoted to Strategic Sales Manager.

Prior, he was Managing Director of Laser Plus where he managed and directed a team of marketing, sales and implementation staff in supporting managed office printing solutions for some of New Zealand’s leading corporate and government customers.

Koefoed has also worked in senior marketing management and business development roles for Onesource and U-Bix Document Solutions.

Alex Kawamura, Managing Director for OKI Data Australia and New Zealand, said, “We are delighted to have Bruce on board with the team in New Zealand.  He joins OKI at a time when our customers need solutions and support to help them stay ahead in an age of digital transformation. His knowledge and experience will be critical to OKI’s growth and success in the region”.

OKI announced a direct presence in New Zealand three years ago and has a reseller network providing sales and technical support to customers throughout the country.

The company has also sponsored the OKI 24-hour sailing race on Lake Pupuke on Auckland’s North Shore for the past 25 years.

About OKI Data Australia

OKI is a global manufacturer of business printers and MFP’s. Over 30 years ago, OKI pioneered LED printing technology, an advanced form of printing using fewer parts compared with the more widely known laser printing. This in turn provides many benefits to users including longer product life, increased reliability and superior image quality over the entire life of the print engine.

All OKI LED printer products are backed by three years warranty*. ColourPainter inkjet printers are backed by two years (E-64s) and three years (M-64s and H3-104s) parts only warranty.  Teriostar products are covered by a one year warranty.

OKI Data Australia commenced operations in 2009 following the acquisition from long-time master agent and distributor, IPL.  OKI Data New Zealand was established in October 2015, following the announcement by OKI’s then master distributor in New Zealand - Comworth Technologies, to realign its business focus and exit distribution.
