OKI Europe wins fourth award for revolutionary five-colour desktop printer

Russia recognises the ES9541’s cost-effective versatility and quality for creative businesses and copy shops   

OKI Europe has won a top award from the Russian edition of the prestigious PC Mag for the ES9541 , the industry’s first digital LED five-colour A3 printer, recently showcased at VISCOM Europe. 

The ES9541 was top in the category of “small solutions generalist in graphic arts and commercial printing”, recognising that it breaks new ground as the graphic arts industry’s first mass market five-colour printer. In addition to the standard process colours, the ES9541 offers an additional spot colour in clear or white gloss. Previously, this capability was only available on expensive digital or lithographic printing equipment. 

The judges said this turned the model from "just another A3 office colour printer" into a solution “with wide capabilities for graphic arts and commercial printing” and they “just couldn’t resist including it in a list of the Best of the Best” from 2013.

The award also points to the business opportunities the ES9541 offers for creative companies and copy shops in producing a wider variety of materials on demand and in short runs, more cost-effectively than ever before. The white toner option is ideal for printing on colour paper, transparent film, t-shirt transfers and promotional merchandise, while the clear gloss enables the production of high quality, visually exciting catalogues, manuals, photobooks and marketing documents. 

The award is the fourth independent accolade for OKI Europe’s revolutionary new printer. The five-colour printer was recently awarded the VISCOM ‘Best of 2013’ Award, the 2013 Good Design Award - Japan’s highest design accolade – and the Print.IT Editor’s Choice Autumn 2013 Award.
