Environmental Data Controlling and Reducing Chemical Substances

To help protect the environment, the OKI Group is active in seeking low environmental-impact chemical alternatives and in reducing chemical consumption.

Achievements in Fiscal 2022

Management of chemical substances used in production activities

As an example of water use at production sites in Japan, water used in production processes is neutralized and detoxified using chemicals before being discharged. Nearly all the chemicals emitted to the atmosphere are volatile organic compounds (VOCs) contained in solvents used for cleaning parts at assembly plants. The OKI Group manages these chemicals as mandated by law, and is active in seeking low environmental-impact chemical alternatives and in reducing chemical consumption.
The Group's emissions rate*1 for FY 2022 was 1.9%.
