Sydney, August 2014 – OKI Data Australia, a global manufacturer of business printers and multifunction devices, has announced that its B731dn monochrome single-function A4 LED printer has earned the BLI Winter 2014 “Pick” for “Outstanding A4 Monochrome Printer for Large Workgroups.”

The OKI B731dn printer underwent extensive durability testing, during which it was run at half the manufacturer’s maximum duty cycle to assess reliability, a critical factor for buyers and IT directors.  Other performance attributes evaluated include ease of use, media handling, productivity and value following which it was nominated as a best performing product qualifying it as a “Pick” contender.

The B731dn is a powerful and cost effective printer, with high speed, high capacity and high quality output.  It features standard 630 sheet paper capacities which can be upgraded to a maximum 3,160 sheets with additional optional paper trays plus a large capacity feeder.

The printer delivers a high toner yield of up to 36,000 page capacity with one piece consumable lowering cost per page than other devices tested;  280,000 monthly duty cycle; increased paper input capacity of up to 3,160 sheets; fast print speeds of up to 52 pages per minute; and standard high speed USB and 1GB Ethernet connectivity.

Standard duplexing features also help improve efficiency and minimise waste. Other environmental features include Quiet mode, toner save mode to reduce consumables use, and low power consumption during regular operation and within deep sleep mode.  

Advanced security features also allow administrators the ability to protect data and encrypt documents simply and effectively, controlling user access and securing print release for sensitive materials.  Compatibility with the flexible OKI PrintSuperVision allows administrators to manage a mixed fleet of hardware.
