Head of UK Channel

Objectives of the role:

To overachieve all targets whilst developing innovative, creative and new opportunities and sustainable routes to market. Responsibility for development of all team members to a standard that sets the benchmark for the rest of the industry.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Achieve all targets set for the Channel Sales Team.
  • Inspire and encourage all staff to overachieve their targets and assist them in their career aspirations.
  • Successfully develop a succession plan to ensure the continuing success of OSUK.
  • Promote a best of breed philosophy in all that we do.
  • Conduct regular benchmarking assessments of the market and assess its trends and directions to ensure that OSUK are competitive in all disciplines.
  • Lead the team’s sales development and ensure full understanding of all of OSUK’s value propositions across all functions.
  • Develop a team that leads the market in its approach to end user engagement and it’s recruitment of new channel partners.
  • Challenge the status quo and commit to implementing change patterns.
  • Ensure quarterly business reviews are carried out with all relevant distributors, partners and resellers to capture any further business opportunities.
  • Promote and develop OSUK’s corporate image throughout the market in a professional manner.
  • Lead the team effectively, professionally and strategically whilst ensuring that we adhere to OSUK’s sales and marketing plan.
  • Perform regular performance reviews with the team members.
  • Ensure regular feedback to the Sales Director and UK Management team.
  • Ensure that all direct reports have a documented development plan that allows us to highlight staff with development needs.
  • Continuously promote the company philosophy.
  • Ensure that the best interests of the company are always at the fore of any business decision made.
  • Identify threats, recognise development needs and respond to all challenges with a can do attitude.
  • Promote a harmonious company philosophy that leads to all departments working together for OSUK’s greater good.
  • Be a respected go to point for all staff members, not just those in your own team.

Essential Attributes:

  • A proven successful channel sales professional with a high degree of complementary marketing experience. Strong communication, development, training and coaching skills. Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure of both time and demand. Outstanding oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with a keen eye for attention to detail
  • Demonstrated success in current role.
  • IT literate.
  • Can do attitude.
  • Travel in UK required, out of contracted hours work will also be necessary on occasions as and when the business dictates.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Degree or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and numeracy skills.
  • Proven sales & marketing experience
  • Formal sales skills training
  • Word, Excel, Powerpoint
