FSE enables face area detection/tracking, face feature point extraction/tracking, and personal identification, etc. from images or videos.
FSE Ver. 3 offers new functions to detect and recognize multiple faces from photographs in real time. These functions can be applied to realize a variety of camera applications, such as an auto-focus for faces, automatic categorizing of photographs, searches for specific persons in existing image databases and other image searching applications. And FSE continues to support also the applications using built-in cameras of cell phones, etc. - from limiting access to terminals up to visual communication such as video phones or image mail - in the same way as before.
Additionally, optional FSE modules are available to facilitate application development, which will drastically reduce the development cost. FSE and its modules enable various solutions, bringing intelligence and entertainment to mobile devices.
FSE has been adopted in a wide range of solutions including digital cameras, mobile phones, portable game software, and mobile content services, etc. Over 10 million FSE licenses have been provided all over the world. |
