OKI is developing a next-generation energy harvesting power supply to expand the field of use for its Zero-Energy IoT Series. OKI is currently developing the next-generation model of its Zero-Energy high-sensitivity camera that it has been producing since 2022. This article reports on the field experiments of the new Zero-Energy high-sensitivity camera and discusses the outlook for functional evolution in the next-generation model.
In a co-creation effort with a railway operator, OKI has developed an advanced fall detection system using 3D LiDAR to address and overcome the issues related to the installation of platform screen doors. In addition, OKI has achieved improvements in station staff operations. This article introduces the LiDAR sensing technology used to detect falls through gaps between trains and curved platforms.
