Purpose of commercializing the 920MHz band multi-hop wireless network system is presented as well as the overview, features and application examples of the wireless unit, network management system and software licenses announced in July 2012.
In an effort to spread the deployment of IPTV services that employ ITU IPTV standards, a testbed was constructed using a video distribution system, the OKI MediaServer. This article gives an overview of the IPTV standards, the testbed system, past experimental trials and future efforts.
Market and standardization trends for the next-generation optical access systems (10G-EPON, TWDM-PON, etc.) considered as successors to the current GEPON used in Japan’s FTTH services are presented along with the introduction of OKI’s efforts.
