We describe the train station ATM, "PatSat," which is operating in stations of the Hankyu Railway. The key element in its success is its basic concept which places major emphasis on providing users with time-saving value and ease-of-operation. We also describe our plan to use such ATM's to offer various other services in the future and explain the essential conditions for success in that endeavor.

We introduce the process by which our customer Mamiya-OP, a company formed through a corporate merger, introduced their ERP system. We explain the role played by our company and the steps we went through to obtain an order from Mamiya-OP for the outsourcing of their information systems department. With "modularization" as the key word, we plan to build on our experience with this customer and further develop such business in the future.
Developing and evaluating Web application systems based on automated program generation toolkit [104KB]

Today, it is necessary for companies developing software to create low-cost, high-quality software in a short period of time. However, the knowledge and expertise for software development is largely in the heads of seasoned developers. If the know-how of these experts could be identified and represented as design patterns, and if use of those patterns could be automated, a major improvement in productivity could be achieved. We have developed a toolkit for automated program generation based on design patterns. In this paper, we introduce the toolkit and explain its methodology for creating Web application. Also, through the results of numerous projects in which the toolkit was applied, we have verified it and have demonstrated the effectiveness of its system and methodology.

In 1996, work was begun on development of CTstage, as a product to be developed internally by Oki. In this article we tell the story of this development project, from the background leading to the start of development, to the release of CTstage V1.0, right up to the current version, CTstage4i. We introduce the issues faced by our hardware and software development groups at each stage of the development project.
