OKI Enhances Functions for its Call Center System "CTstage®5i"
Product cuts operating costs by up to 25%
TOKYO, April 22, 2010 -- OKI Networks, a subsidiary of OKI Electric Industry (TSE: 6703) that designs and manufactures telecommunication products, today announced it has made significant improvements in functionality for "CTstage® 5i", its latest call center system. In addition to reducing the number of servers required for each system by enhancing performance fourfold, the product incorporates various features often requested by customers. These improvements make it possible to set up a call center system with 200 seats, which incorporates voice recording functions, on a single server, reducing costs by up to 25%.(*1) Shipment is slated to start at the end of July.
OKI's "CTstage® 5i" makes it possible to expand small- to large-scale systems simply by adding servers, using a single architecture based on Windows®. While systems consisting of multiple servers provide flexibility in responding to customer requests, the number of servers affects installation and management costs, posing a challenge for all companies. For this reason, customers operating small systems needed to increase call handling capacity, while customers operating large systems sought to reduce the number of servers required for call center operations.
"In response, OKI Networks has enhanced the performance of 'CTstage? 5i' fourfold and incorporated various new features. Major changes include reduced number of servers required per system(*2), based on enhanced call-handling capacity and service process capabilities." says Hidetoshi Saigou, President of OKI Networks. "This makes it possible to set up a call center system with 200 seats, which incorporates voice recording functions, on a single server, reducing costs by up to 25%."
OKI Networks also added other functions, including graphical display of schedules and enhanced survivability, features often requested by customers. Additionally, OKI Networks enhanced ACD functionality(*3), allowing incoming calls to be routed to specific operators, depending on availability, specific parameters, and detailed metrics.
Drawing on experience gathered as a specialist in call center systems, OKI Networks will proceed with plans to enhance the value it offers to customers, thereby contributing to their success.
