OKI Enhances Functionality of its Contact Center System, CTstage® 5i, Targeting Integration of Enterprise Voice Networks
Tokyo, Japan, August 9, 2007 -- Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. (TSE: 6703) today announced it has made major function enhancements to the CTstage® 5i, the latest in its series of CTstage® contact center system, which holds the top market share in Japan. The new functions improve contact center expandability, respond to multiple locations and can connect with IP-PBXs. Sales of CTstage 5i with these enhanced functions starts today in the Japanese market.
"As many companies aim to improve their level of customer satisfaction, company-wide customer response through contact centers is becoming important," said Katsuyoshi Koide, President of Multimedia Messaging Company at Oki Electric Industry. "We contribute to enhance our products to meet those needs by integrating the contact center and the office voice networks into a single network. As part of this approach, OKI enhanced several functions of the CTstage 5i"
OKI's CTstage excels in expandability and flexibility by adopting a server-based open architecture. This enables users to respond to various customer needs and to changes in business operation, and thus the product line has gained broad customer support. CTstage 5i was reborn as an advanced IP contact center system by converging IP-PBX technologies, a field in which OKI has been leading the industry since the dawn of IP telephony.
Leveraging the merits of the IP-based single architecture, the CTstage 5i offers expandability, enabling connection to as many as 500 seats in a single system. It has achieved system flexibility by improving voice recording functions that enable dispersed server allocation, enhancing the capability to handle multiple locations, enabling faxes to be sent and received through software. It has also improved convergence of IP-PBX technologies by seamlessly connecting PBX leased lines with IP-PBXs.
OKI will continue to respond to market needs, by promoting integration of enterprise voice network.
