OKI Unveils Com@WILL® Series Release 7

Offers new functions for enhanced customer response

Tokyo, Japan, March 6, 2007 -- Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. (TSE: 6703) today unveiled "Com@WILL® Series Release 7" for the Japanese market with enhanced office communication functions for customer response. OKI's Com@WILL Series is a software application that connects with OKI's IP telephony products such as its IP CONVERGENCE® Server SS9100 and IPstage® Family. OKI's Com@WILL family includes products such as "Com@WILL Softphone" that enable phone calls with a PC, "Com@WILL Mobile," a wireless IP phone, and "Com@WILL Assistant," for web browsing.

"Our new Com@WILL Series R7 improves functionality for office communications and thus enhances customer response and mobility. We increased the number of mobile phones and carriers that can be connected to Com@WILL enabling the application to be used for large, middle and small-size offices," said Masashi Tsuboi, President of IP Systems Company at Oki Electric Industry. "We will continue to expand the functions offered in Com@WILL Series to support the efficiency of business communication and increase their competitive edge."

OKI enhanced the following four features for its Com@WILL Series R7.

  1. Com@WILL Softphone now connectable to MicrosoftR Dynamics CRM 3.0 (Japanese)

    By simply clicking on the button embedded in the toolbar on Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, the Com@WILL software enables companies to approach customers strategically; users can easily speak with customers and sales representatives. This increases the speed for CRM flow and improves customer satisfaction.

  2. "Com@WILL Reception" adds new capability when connected to Com@WILL Softphone

    When a company installs Com@WILL Reception at its reception desk, visitors can call the person they are visiting simply by touching the screen. In addition, in the event that the person is not there, visitors can call other people. By combining the application with Com@WILL Softphone and a web camera, employees can see the visitors face on their own PC. It also plays BGM or displays advertisements on the screen.

  3. Enhanced models are compliant with "Com@WILL Softphone Pocket"

    OKI enhances the usability of Com@WILL Softphone Pocket that targets smartphones with Microsoft Windows MobileR OS. With the enhanced product, users can now make internal calls on an IP network with Wireless LAN 3G terminals "hTcZ." It also offers expanded functionality by including chat, notification of reason for rejecting a received call, and the ability to answer and forward calls.

  4. Enhanced models compliant with "Com@WILL Mobile"

    Com@WILL Mobile enables users to make internal phone calls through the browser on their wireless IP telephone. Com@WILL Series 7 not only works with FOMAR N900iL,it is also compliant with NTT DoCoMo's FOMA N902iL and KDDI's au E02SA.
