OKI Consolidates its Semiconductor Offices in China
By establishing a consistent structure from product planning and design through to sales, OKI plans to expand its business in China
Tokyo, Japan, October 18, 2007 -- Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. (TSE: 6703) announced that effective October 1, it has consolidated two of its semiconductor companies: Oki Semiconductor Shanghai Co., Ltd., its semiconductors sales office, and Oki Semiconductor Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., its marketing and design office. The new company is called OKI Semiconductor Shanghai Co., Ltd.
"With this consolidation, we have succeeded in establishing a consistent structure to conduct semiconductor activities in China, from product planning and design, through to sales. We believe this will further enhance OKI's semiconductor business in China," said Nobuyuki Suenaga, President of OKI Semiconductor Shanghai.
