Iridian and Oki Electric Announce Proof Positive Certification for Oki's IRISPASS®-M Two-Eye Iris Recognition Camera
Moorestown, NJ, and Tokyo Japan, June 19, 2006 -- Iridian Technologies and Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. (TSE: 6703) today announced that Iridian has awarded Proof Positive® certification for the Oki's IRISPASS®-M, a fully automatic, two-eye iris biometric recognition camera. The IRISPASS-M, targeted at the government, financial and commercial security markets, conveniently delivers two-eye iris biometric capture and definitive identification performance from approximately two feet away in less than 2 seconds.
The Proof Positive hardware and software certification program from Iridian Technologies certifies that iris recognition cameras and software solutions meet critical standards for performance, interoperability, safety, security, scalability, usability and reliability. Certification includes a series of formal audits and evaluations, including compliance with Iridian's PrivateID®, KnoWho®, and OpenIris® application programming interfaces (APIs), security and countermeasures. Proof Positive certified cameras are interoperable with other certified cameras, not only from the same vendor, but from other vendors as well. Certified cameras easily interface with Iridian's KnoWho server software for maximum performance in searches against millions of records.
