Oki Techno Creation Unveils "Mail Confidence Protector" to Help Prevent Information Leakage through E-mails
Tokyo, Japan, May 24, 2006 -- Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. (TSE: 6703) and Oki Techno Creation Co., Ltd., an Oki group company developing and providing information and telecom system products, today announced that Oki Techno Creation unveiled its "Mail Confidence Protector," which is a network solution product to help prevent information leakage via e-mails.

The Mail Confidence Protector is a network terminal without an IP address (stealth-type), offering easy installation on to existing networks without making any changes. By setting rules in advance and searching by keywords, the Protector can block certain information on e-mails as well as specify the origin when information leakage occurs by logging the sent and received mail. Though this is not a function that directly prevents information leakage, it can help control information leakage crimes.
Setting rules and searching by keywords, referring to stored mails, and analyzing data can be done with user-friendly client software. Security level can be divided by divisions or by management position, by grouping keywords and mail addresses, which helps establish an e-mail auditing system to control inside information. In addition, when using the non-stop model, the system will not be interrupted even when conducting file updates or when system failure occurs.
Oki Techno Creation developed this product together with ITC, Inc., a Japanese company developing software and providing system integration solutions, and XcureNet Co., Ltd., a Korean company providing information security and network infrastructure solutions. Sales of this product start today worldwide, with shipment scheduled from May 31, 2006.
