Glossary

  • *1 :Composite signal (Compound video signal)

    A video signal that compounds signals for brightness, color-difference synchronization into a single signal.

  • *2 :S-Video signal

    Video signal that is separates brightness and compound color-difference signal, and enables a higher quality video transmission than composite signal.

  • *3 :Component Signal

    A video signal method that separates two types of brightness signal and three types of color-difference signals, and has better quality transmission than S-Video.

  • *4 :525i/525p/625i/625p

    Numbers represent the total lines for vide signals, "i" for interlace, and "p" for progressive.

  • *5 :Adaptive Y/C separation

    Using the top and bottom lines and right and left pixels in the same screen, this adaptively separates Y/C vertically and horizontally.
