Oki Electric Adds Behavior Recognition Function to Its Remote Video Surveillance System, VisualCast®-SS

[Reference]

Diagram of VisualCast®-SS with Behavior Recognition Function

Video encoder:
Enables optimum video and voice distribution depending on the network bandwidth by converting video and voice into signals and transmitting it to VisualCast-SS server in real-time
Storage/Distribution server:
Distributes surveillance video to video receiver and stores necessary data
Management server:
Controls video distribution from video encoder to receiver, and searches/plays stored video data
Behavior Recognition server:
Inputs surveillance video and detects intrusion based on operation settings
Video receiver:
Receives, plays and displays video data converted to signal in the video encoder

Example of Behavior Recognition Function

Detect intruder climbing over the fence:
By setting the size, it can detect human size, and avoid detecting small animals. This also enables an efficient surveillance by avoiding false report from winds through a vibration sensor.
Detect intruders and trespassing in certain areas:
This can detect human or cars intruding or trespassing into an alert area. It can also detect and record data when intruded into an area that cannot be entered. This can be done by setting an area within the camera screen.
Monitoring left behinds and take away:
This is an effective function for terrorism measures as it can detect dangerous objects left behind in facilities with many people such as stations, airports and stadiums.
