Oki Group Launches "OKI Printing Solutions" as a Global Brand for its Printer Business

Accelerates Global Strategy for Business Printing Solutions

Tokyo, Japan, April 27, 2005 -- Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. (TSE: 6703) and Oki Data Corporation, Oki's subsidiary of Oki Electric today announced that Oki Data launched a new global brand, "OKI Printing Solutions," for its printer business, starting May 2005. Oki expects to unify and strengthen its printer business, which is one of the three business groups of Oki, in addition to info-telecom system business and semiconductor business. Combining the OKI brand with Oki Data's printing solutions, the new brand positions Oki Data as the business printing solutions specialist in providing total printing solutions.
