Oki and Vignette Reach Agreement on Strategic Alliance for Web Critical Content Management Solutions
Tokyo, Japan and Austin, Texas - November 29, 2001 -- Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. and Vignette Corporation today announced that both companies have reached an agreement to form a strategic alliance in the area of Web critical content management. Under the agreement, Oki will offer "Vignette® Content Suite V6," the integrated Web critical content management application, and "Vignette® Professional Services," the system construction and other services, to the Japanese market beginning in December 2001. Both companies will also collaborate in the development of a system education program, in addition to marketing and promotion activities for the Japanese market.
"Vignette® Content Suite V6" allows enterprises to easily deploy dynamic Web applications by integrating content from all sources, multiple Web servers and various system applications. It also makes it possible to manage and deliver personalized content quickly, by analyzing users' behavior across electronic touch points, including PC's, mobile phones, and information appliances. This means users can continually monitor and optimize the effectiveness of their online channels. The solution works with Solaris™, Windows NT®, or Windows® 2000.
Oki Electric enhances its Web transaction system line-up with the addition of the "Vignette® Content Suite V6," which provides for smooth interwork with BEA Weblogic Server™, and which is compliant with open standard systems such as J2EE and XML. Oki combines the product with its Web transaction system construction service, providing highly expandable and reliable Web critical content management solutions. Vignette expands its sales to the Japanese market by partnering with Oki, which has strength in system integration with BEA Weblogic Server.
