SolutionsNetwork Service Control
Network Service Control Domain
The network service control domain encompasses the management and control of real-time multimedia communications.
This system allows a variety of multimedia services to be provided over IP networks, including PSTN emulation, a successor technology for traditional telephone service; PSTN simulation, which provides new voice communications supported by OKI's eSound™ technology and mobile wireless IP telephony that are uniquely suited to NGN environments; streaming and other video distribution technologies; and bidirectional real-time communications such as videophone and multimedia conferencing.
In addition to managing the user profiles, user location information, and presence information required by such services, this technology exchanges roaming information with other networks and provides information to backend management systems and upstream applications as necessary.
In order to provide multimedia services in a reliable manner, it is necessary to acquire IP network routes and bandwidth managed by the transport layer on an as-needed basis. It is also necessary to authenticate users accessing these services via a variety of networks and to provide appropriate service in a safe manner. In order to ensure these linkages remain as smooth as possible, the system also provides functionality for resource control, resource management, and access authentication.
Additionally, the system provides a variety of gateways by supporting interconnections with other NGNs as well as conventional communications networks.

Network Service Control Solutions from OKI
OKI has worked hard to playing a leading role in the broadband IP telephony market for communications carriers with its CenterStage®Series since launching the product in 2000. These efforts have solved many issues in IP telephony exchange processing with general-purpose servers and IP networks, and the company has accumulated a wealth of technology and know-how through activities such as supporting the operation of Class 5 software switches for a public IP telephony service with the world's largest capacity-more than 5 million IP phone subscribers on two systems.
Based on its experience with CenterStage and that product's exceptional record of performance, in March 2006 OKI announced the CenterStage NX Series, a product that will offer high reliability and expandability while meeting the requirements of next-generation carrier networks such as NGN and IMS. This announcement makes clear our across-the-board commitment to NGN.
Through the CenterStage NX Series, OKI will offer solutions for implementing capabilities ranging from key NGN functionality such as control of bidirectional multimedia real-time sessions using the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and management of associated data and media to multimedia communications functionality such as PSTN emulation, PSTN simulation, and streaming on NGNs.
Services
The product groups that make up OSCP encompass an extensive range of partner products to provide custom-tailored solutions for the systems customers need to implement their applications.
Control
The most unique feature of CenterStage NX products is their combination of exceptional performance, high capacity, and uncompromising reliability. In particular, CenterStage NX is designed to facilitate easy migration from existing phone networks and IP phone networks implemented using a software switching architecture to the IMS architecture that lies at the core of NGNs.
Media
OKI products are designed for maximum reliability and quality and offer seamless connectivity with existing phone networks and IP phone networks.
Security
Consistent with our approach to security as a protective layer, we provide highly reliable security systems that analyze threats quickly to protect your network.
Equipment Management
OKI offers management solutions for systems built around the CenterStage NX Series.
