Wireless LAN access point for Voiceover Wireless LAN
The MWINS
BR2100 Series (MWINS) is a wireless LAN access point for Voice over Wireless LAN (VoWLAN). This series ensures high voice quality and security without any need for a controller, thus enabling the establishment of wireless LAN environments integrating voice and data at low cost even in small-size offices.
The series best suits customers whose work style emphasizes mobility and includes the establishment of a Mobile Centrex system using mobile IP handsets.

Simultaneous use of IEEE802.11a and 11b/g not supported. |
Simultaneous use of IEEE802.11a and 11b/g supported. |
* "Simultaneous use of IEEE802.11a and 11b/g supported" denotes, for example, a notebook PC using 11a and a mobile IP handset using 11b can operate at the same time.
Main features of the MWINS
Access points implement security management and Quality of Service control functions, thus eliminating the need for expensive controllers.
Security standard "IEEE 802.11i" implementation prevents eavesdropping, falsification and identity theft.
"IEEE 802.11e EDCA" is implemented in order to improve wireless communication quality as well as offer almost continuous conversation of high voice quality.
Voice quality is ensured by automatically limiting the number of simultaneously connected mobile IP handsets.
The high-speed handover function enables almost continuous conversation while moving around in offices.
