Middleware (Software) product
In this product, FSE's face detection/tracking, feature point extraction/tracking, and face recognition functions are offered as software (middleware). Customers can develop their own applications using these functions. In addition, OKI offers “FSE Solution Libraries”, upper layer libraries that reduce customers' workload for developing specific applications such as image synthesis, people search, etc.
Hardware IP product
In this product, FSE's face detection/tracking function is offered as hardware IP. Feature point extraction/tracking and face recognition functions are offered as software (middleware). Hardware IP version enables reduction of CPU usage and high-speed detection. APIs remain the same as the software version, eliminating the need to change APIs.
* Functions other than face detection/tracking are also scheduled for release as hardware IP.
