    • 1.Recycling used products
    The products used in OA equipment and information equipment that we directly sold to users are collected and recycled. There are two types of recycling.
    1. Recycling for reuse (a used product is collected, appropriately treated, and is used again as a product)
    2. Recycling for resources (a used product is collected and used again as a raw material)
    Considering influence on the environment, Oki Electric Co. Ltd. places priority on recycling for reuse, and only products which cannot be reused are recycled for resources. In fiscal 1997, the recycling ratio of used products was 88% (in Kanto district).
    The recycling of used products is now consigned to subcontractors, but in the Kanto district, where many used products are collected, we will recycle them in-house from fiscal 1999.     		Recycling of used products

    2.Recycling used packaging containers
    We are recycling packaging containers for ICs (trays, magazines, tape reels, etc.). IC packaging containers shipped to users are collected, cleaned and reused. Old type or damaged packaging containers cannot be reused, but are crushed to become materials (resources) and are remolded.
