Providing environmental information

In an environmental management system, it is important to actively provide environmental information, receive opinions from many individuals inside and outside Japan, and to improve the system. OKI is providing environmental information in various ways.

1.Providing information to outside companies

We are distributing pamphlets that list OKI's basic environmental policies and activity plans.
In 1997 we issued Oki Kenkyu Kaihatsu (special issue on the global environment), where we presented our policies and efforts on environmental protection activities.

2.Transmitting information throughout company via intranets

Environmental information is transmitted over intranets which connects Oki Electric Industry Co. Ltd. with affiliated companies of the OKI Group.
Using this system, environment information can be accessed any time from offices and factories located throughout Japan. The main content of transmitted information follows.

When a standard is amended, all companies in the OKI Group are informed to operate according to the new standard.
Environment related law amendment information
It is important to collect environment related law amendment information properly and to integrate the new laws into environmental management procedures
We regularly check amendment information and transmit it to our offices and factories throughout Japan.
