CenterStage NX4300 overview
OKI “CenterStage NX4300” is a security gateway designed for use by large-scale telecommunications carriers and features a translator function that allows interoperability between different protocols, specifically between IPv4 and IPv6.
The translator function of the CenterStage NX4300 enables interworking between IPv4 and IPv6 during the transition of current large-scale IPv4 networks to IPv6 systems. ATCA platform and network processor are adopted to achieve carrier-grade performance with high processing speed and high availability. OKI achieved this high availability by utilizing its original CenterStage HAPF middleware and realized the high processing speed by fully exploiting its proprietary technologies.The CenterStage NX4300 boasts 8 Gbps of throughput per blade, and can be expanded to include up to 10 blades to meet future traffic growth.
In developing the NX4300 for commercialization, OKI will further promote enhancement of the NAT functionality for existing IPv4 networks and increases in capacity in an effort to provide countermeasures against IPv4 depletion and to contribute to smoother migration and expansion of IPv6 networks. As NGN is undergoing full-scale expansion, OKI will continue to enhance the security gateway functions of the NX series, for example by adding IPv6-compatible security functions and a DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) function.
