CenterStage HAPFCenterStage HAPF OverviewThe CenterStage NX Series is a line of communications servers designed for large-scale carriers and optimized to serve as a foundation for Next Generation Network(*1) (NGN) services. By applying proprietary high-availability(*2) middleware to all CenterStage Series models, OKI is able to deliver the high performance, capacity, and reliability demanded by NGN. OKI is committed to offering flexible support for new services over NGN based on its experience developing and operating IP telephone infrastructure with 5 million subscribers using the previous generation of CenterStage Series products.
Carrier-grade reliability with 99.9999% availabilityCenterStage HAPF, which serves as the foundation for OKI's CenterStage NX Series, is based on a redundant server architecture. The combination of this architecture with the following reliability-driving functionality delivers 99.9999% availability (about 33 seconds of down time each year), a standard that rivals exchanges designed for central office deployment. Reliability-driving functionality
Delivering high performance and capacity for large-scale networksThanks to its High-speed Service Engine, the CenterStage NX Series provides high-speed processing of sudden and diverse service demand caused by large numbers of subscribers. This capability enables the NX5000 to accommodate as many as 800,000 subscribers while delivering call processing performance in excess of 1 million busy hour call attempts (BHCA)-all in a 2U server with just 2 CPUs. This capacity-building functionality helps lower maintenance and management costs by dramatically reducing the number of general-purpose servers, which require complex maintenance and management.
